I used to like playing Snooker and had a rather long “break”. But now I want to start playing again. Currently I am in Brasov, Romania and hope to find some time to play with a friend of mine. So, Tuica Man, move your lazy carcass to Brasov and let’s have some fun
I know – and those who know me, know it too – I always disliked Facebook. Mostly due to its insane terms and conditions and very loose interpretation of privacy. And I still do.
However, quite a few people kept pestering me to finally sign up. So I reactivated my account, which I created years ago, when Facebook was hardly known outside the US. And to prove this you can find my “facebook badge” below. Feel free to add me as a friend, if you want to get and/or stay in touch.
Just don’t expect to find tons of information about me there. If you are seriously interested, check my homepage and – for a change - a serious networking platform by becoming a member on XING or – if you already are – find me there and let’s get connected.
With his book “Scrum and XP from the Trenches” Henrik Kniberg provides invaluable insights in practical life of agile software development.
This real-life report about things and approaches he tried and why he decided to go for one or the other is an excellent entry point into the world of Scrum.
This does not mean, that the target audience for this book is limited to newbies in the field. On the contrary – it provides a lot of information and tips for experienced users, too.
You can download a free PDF copy at InfoQ. The printed book comes for the reasonable price of $22.95.
Check out the books below – they all deal with Scrum and/or agile methods in software development. My personal favorite is Mike Cohn’s “Agile Estimating and Planning” – don’t start into the agile world without having read this book.

Much has been said about “Agile Estimating and Planning” and it has long since become a classic in the field of agile software development.
Mike Cohn manages to combine agile methodologies and describe them, their benefits and how to use them in real life. To his credit he does this in an easy to read and very practical way.
So you do not only get valuable information, but also an excellent read with tips and advices, which you can apply instantly to your organization and see improvements very quickly. This book gets 10 out of 10 points on my personal scale.
My recommendation: No matter if you are experienced in Scrum or other agile methods or just start to work with them – get this book, read it and then read it again.
Ok, this is not the fastest 147 ever, but it has several shots in it, which are insanely well played. It is probably no surprise that it was played by Ronnie O’Sullivan again (see also the fastest 147).
So without further ado – watch this unfold and take a very close look at the shot at 7:09 – this is as good as it gets.
Just on a side note: Ronnie cashed GBP 157,000 for this maximum
