Blackbird Dresses Up for 2013
in Blackbird
Against all expectations spring has arrived in Brasov and if it is any indication for the summer to follow, we are in for a hot one. High time to get the Bird out of the gloomy garage and get her… Tags: bike
Inschpektor gibt's kaan?
Relevant Rules of Life
Years ago Bill Gates gave a speech at Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California. In it he outlined 11 rules of life. I stumbled across them again and they still ring true:
Gimme 5!
Everybody DOS now!
If you look at this and keep in mind, that it was an actual commercial, you have to be laughing your a** off. Promo video for MS-DOS 5 upgrade (if you don't know, what DOS means, it is still funny ... though much less so).
The iFactory - Behind The Scenes at Foxconn
Recently Foxconn and its customers like Dell, Nokia, HP and - last but certainly not least - Apple have received more media attention than they would have liked. This led partly to Apple putting relations with e.g. the NY Times on ice.
Now Apple decided to change their strategy and invited and ABC team led bei Bill Weir to take a look at and record what is going on for real. Is it newly found openness or just a nifty PR move on their behalf. See the videos and judge for yourself:
Road Quality in Romania
I don't know whether you read my short post about my first time driving on a Romanian highway. Some people did and one of them provided me the map below. Very useful, showing the quality of roads throughout Romania:
Where would we be without the Romanians? Continued.
Have to follow up on a previous post. Lau G commented on it and shared a YouTube link with even more information about what the world would look like without Romania. Check it out:
McLondon
I am currently in London. On my way to some dinner last evening, I passed by a McDonald's restaurant. No big deal. Except this one is different from the usual template based joints. You got to hand it to the English: they do things in their own style:
Where would we be without the Romanians?
A brief overview of Romanian achievements, you may not have been aware of. Quite amazing indeed:
